Cozen O’Connor member Thomas M. Jones recently lectured at the DRI Electronic Discovery Seminar, held in New York, N.Y. Jones moderated a panel on “E-Discovery in Insurance,” during which industry experts discussed the e-discovery issues most important to insurers, including the potential coverage issues raised by the amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil procedure, and how insurers should address the duty to preserve in terms of timing and scope.
A member in the Seattle office, Jones’ practice spans many areas of law, including professional and product liability, general and appellate litigation, insurance coverage and other matters, and technology and e-commerce. He is vice-chair of the national insurance department and heads the electronic discovery disputes practice area.
Jones is a member of the American, Washington State, Oklahoma and Seattle-King bar associations, the DRI, Washington Defense Trial Lawyers Association and ARMA International. He has acted as lead trial insurer counsel in some of the highest profile insurance coverage cases in the country. Jones was also selected by his peers as a Washington "Super Lawyer" from 2000 – 2007 and has authored several published articles.
