Eric Choi concentrates his practice in complex patent cases for clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Eric is a registered patent attorney and focuses his practice on the representation of pharmaceutical companies in Hatch-Waxman litigation. Eric is also experienced in the drafting and prosecution of patents in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Prior to attending law school, Eric was a chemist at Merck & Co., Inc. where he researched crystalline organic molecules and was part of multiple development teams as the lead investigator for polymorph and salt selection of drug candidates from pre-clinical to Phase III clinical trials. Eric is also a co-inventor of U.S. Patent No. 8,513,234 entitled HIV Integrase Inhibitors and U.S. Patent Application Publication No. 2014/0206605 titled Crystal Forms of HIV Integrase Inhibitors.

Eric earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and received his B.S. in biochemistry from Northern Illinois University. Prior to attending Northern Illinois University Eric was in the Integrated Science Program at Northwestern University.
